Build the engine that brings students, professors, donors, and partners to Elton.
Elton gives people a better education at a lower cost and with less debt. Too few people know it exists. As Chief of Growth, you will change that.
You will own growth across the whole university and lead with us from the start. This role fits a builder who can set strategy, run experiments, and also roll up their sleeves.
What you will do
- Set and own our growth strategy across student enrollment, professor recruitment, donor development, and partnerships
- Define our key metrics, build a simple dashboard, and report on progress each month
- Run fast experiments in content, search, social, email, events, referrals, and paid channels, then double down on what works
- Make our web presence, from our website to the application flow, convert visitors into applicants
- Build and guide a small team and a network of freelancers, interns, and volunteers
- Develop partnerships with employers, community colleges, bootcamps, professional associations, and alumni
- Work with the leadership team to turn our message (evidence-based, agile, student-first, affordable) into campaigns people remember
- Keep every decision tied to our mission: students, their families, their communities, and the world
You might be a fit if you
- Have 5+ years in growth, marketing, enrollment, or business development, ideally in education, nonprofits, or early-stage ventures
- Have built a funnel from near zero and can show the numbers
- Think in experiments and use data to decide
- Write and speak persuasively
- Lead through service: you share credit, listen first, and put the mission ahead of ego
- Care about education and equity
How it works
- Work remotely. Expect occasional events and travel.
