Turn belief in better education into scholarships, access, and lower debt.
Elton is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your work funds students: scholarships for people who could not otherwise afford a personalized education, plus the research and tools that improve how people learn.
Our lean model already keeps tuition below many public colleges. Philanthropy lets us go further. Every gift can open a seat for a learner who would otherwise go without.
What you will do
- Design and run our fundraising program: individual giving, major gifts, foundations, corporate sponsors, and recurring donors
- Cultivate relationships with donors who care about education, AI and human learning, equity, and opportunity
- Identify and pursue grants, and work with our grant writers on proposals
- Build scholarship funds that match donors with students and share the results
- Launch giving campaigns, such as a giving day or a scholarship challenge
- Use our donor database to track gifts, report progress, and thank donors promptly and personally
- Work with our content team to tell donor stories with real student outcomes
- Report to leadership and the board on goals, pipeline, and results
You might be a fit if you
- Have 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience (education experience is a plus)
- Have a record of asking for and closing gifts
- Build trust and keep relationships warm for years
- Write clearly and speak with warmth and credibility
- Understand nonprofit compliance and donor stewardship
- Believe in Elton's mission and can explain it in your own words
How it works
- Work remotely.
